Started in 1992, we have over 15 years of experience and are well know in the area for providing top quality entertainment for all types occasions.

We have an extensive music library catering for all types of music from the 1960's to the present chart and club hits.

In 2005 we launched a dedicate service just for Wedding disco's, where we can come out and meet you to discuss your requirements and look around the venue so their are no hidden surprises on the night.

For your safety all our equipment is PAT tested and are staff are CRB checked for working with children and young adults. We also have full equipment and public liability insurance.

Professional equipment is used throughout and is ample enough to fill most halls with sound and light, complemented with effects such as smoke and bubbles where required.

We are also a member of the Federation of Small Businesses, this gives us access to a wealth of resources.

Why Choose Us?

The mobile diso industry does undoubtedly have a bad reputation for unreliable DJs who don't turn up, or don't play what you and your guests want to hear.

If you book TNT Disco you can rest assured you will get the best possible service. We are a small enough to give you a personal service but large enough to ensure your function proceed smoothly.

Here are just some of the reasons to choose us:

PLI Insurance

TNT Disco has full equipment and public liability insurance PLI, with MusicGuard.

Many venues may ask to see a copy of our PLI certificate in advance or on the date of your function. Our PLI cover is for one million pounds (£1m), we can arrange higher cover if your venue requires it.

You can view the current PLI certificate here, you may need to print it off and show your venue on booking.

Public Liability Insurance validation

The risks of booking a DJ without Public Liability Insurance

  • Your DJ may be refused entry to the venue.
  • If your DJ causes damage or harm you may end-up being liable for the costs.

Many hotels, corporate and large venues insist DJs are fully insured. If your DJ arrives and is unable to produce evidence of insurance, they may be refused entry.

Just imagine if the DJ causes damage through negligence, one of your guests trips over a loose cable, or something worse happens?

PAT Tested

Most large venues will require that all equipment used on site has passed a Portable Appliance Test (PAT). This is a process by which electrical appliances are routinely checked to see whether they are safe.

It is not actually a legal requirement that appliances have to be PAT tested year. All that British law requires is that the appliances are safe (as far as is reasonably practicable).

TNT Disco tests its equipment on a bi-annual basis and all tested equipment carries a sticker to say it passed and the date its next test is due.

You can view the current PAT test certificate here, you may need to print it off and show your venue on booking.

CRB Checked

It is a legal requirement that all adults that work with children are now checked by the Criminal Records Bureau to reduce the risk of abuse by ensuring those who are unsuitable are not able to work with children and vulnerable adults.

Although we never expect our staff to be in an unsupervised position with children we do require all our staff over the age of 18 to undergo CRB checking and we can supply a copy of their certificates on request to any organisation that abides by the CRB code of practice.

Market Position

There are three main sizes of disco companies;

Large: The Professionals
These are those where the disco is the full time occupation of the proprietor. They quite often have one or more setups available and you can end up with a different set of staff each time you use them.
Medium: The Semi-Professionals
These are those where the disco is a part time occupation of the proprietor. They quite often only have a single setup and you will usually get the same DJ each time you use then. They quite often provide a more personal service than the professionals.
Small: The Bedroom DJs
These are those where the disco is a hobby. They are the startups, they usually DJ for their friends and family and won't have the same level of kit as the semi-pros and pros. They nearly always do not have insurance and licenses.

So where are we?

Well TNT Disco is in the semi-profession league. The disco is small enough to offer a personal service but big enough to handle your event professionally.

We can take multiple bookings on a given date but this is only done when absolutely required, when we don't want to let down a regular customer due to a prior booking. We do not subcontract though so you will always get some of the same staff at every disco.

Experience

TNT Disco was started in earnest in the early 90's by, Nick Turner, growing out of an earlier hobby.

Due to Nick's work in various youth organisations the disco initially catered for children's parties and rapidly expanded to being one of the best children's discos in the area.

Not before long the parents started inquiring whether the disco could do functions for them. So inevitable the disco expanded into the adult market and not before long became just as well known for doing top quality entertainment for functions such as anniversaries, weddings and fund raisers.

TNT Disco is now one of the most competitive discos in the area, experienced in all types of events and catering for all types of music from the 1960’s to the present club scene.

Professional equipment is used throughout and is ample enough to fill most halls with sound and lighting, complemented with effects such as smoke and bubbles where required.
